As every chocolate maker knows, one of important ingredients for making chocolate is cocoa butter. This cocoa butter is made from the Thai cocoa variety I.M.1’s organic cocoa beans. The cocoa butter has a nutty and floral note, and as a result the chocolate made from this cocoa butter has a nutty and floral note too together with a sweet taste and a smooth texture.

In addition, the cocoa butter’s fat is saturated fat, which is the healthier kind. It is not produced by means of a chemical process, but rather it is extracted directly from the cocoa liquor. The cocoa butter is not only used to make chocolate, but also to make soap and creams for your face and body; and to make a lip moisturizer.

After that the company started to encourage farmers throughout the North and North-East of Thailand to grow seedlings of the cocoa variety I.M.1 by providing training about how to grow cocoa and about 100% organic cocoa plantation management techniques, such as organic soil preparation and fertilisation, pruning, organic pest and disease control, harvesting, and cocoa beans fermenting technology.

After harvesting, the company ferments the cocoa beans by using a unique fermenting process; dries the bean; and turns them into chocolate and other cocoa-based products, such as cocoa butter and cosmetics. The company has 17 years of experience in making 100% organic chocolate.

The Cocoa is Grown 100% Organically
